The vibration of machine tools has a significant impact on the grinding accuracy and stability of bearing groove grinders. In order to ensure the machining performance of the grinder, manufacturers have balanced the motor, pulley, and shaft system well before leaving the factory. The vibration of the grinder is mainly caused by the imbalance of the grinding wheel. Although it is balanced before leaving the factory, the grinding wheel itself is in a constantly changing process during the machining process, such as uneven wear during the machining process, different adsorption of coolant, correction of deviations, and installation errors and materials when replacing new grinding wheels, all of which can cause the quality of the grinding wheel system to deviate from its rotation axis and cause grinder vibration. This vibration will cause vibration patterns on the machined surface of the part, which has a significant impact on machining accuracy. Therefore, if the grinding wheel system of the grinder can achieve good results in automatic balancing, it will be able to increase the machining accuracy and production efficiency of bearing parts.
The principle of balance states that a grinding wheel can be seen as composed of tiny particles. The inertial force system composed of the inertial force generated by these tiny particles during rotation can be simplified to a resultant force F towards the center of mass, which is the centrifugal force Fi of each tiny particle. The vector synthesis of the whole machine is that the balance head rotates at the same frequency as the main shaft under normal conditions. When the whole machine enters the automatic balance state, the balance head receives instructions from the measurement and control system based on the calculated magnitude and orientation of the unbalance, adjusts the position of the two balance blocks, so that the balance vector generated by the balance blocks offsets the unbalance of the grinding wheel. When the vibration value is less than the preset value, the balance process ends.
