An external cylindrical grinder generally consists of a cast iron bed body, a worktable, a headstock and tailstock that support and drive the workpiece to rotate, a grinding wheel rack (grinding head) that installs the grinding wheel, a transverse feed mechanism that controls the size of the grinding workpiece, and electrical and hydraulic devices that control the movement of the machine tool's moving parts. Maintenance work can be divided into early and late stages.
1、 Early stage
(1) Clean the iron chip groove, water tank, oil filter, disk, hydraulic pump, pipeline, oil circuit, and accessories of the cooling pump, and clean and adjust the grinding head of the external cylindrical grinder.
(2) Check the pressure of the pressure valve, whether the hydraulic handle and guide rail can operate flexibly, and whether the stroke speed is normal.
(3) Check if the screws are tightened, clean all parts of the machine tool, and add lubricating oil according to regulations.
2、 Later stage
(1) Check if the gap between the grinding wheel spindle bearings is correct, and if there are burrs on the worktable and guide rail surface, they should be ground flat.
(2) Can the oil pump work properly and are the pipeline joints correct.
(3) External cylindrical grinder is used to clean electric motors and electrical equipment, removing dirt and stains.
