1. Internal grinding, external grinding, flat grinding, tool grinding, and crankshaft grinding must all comply with the safety operating procedures of mechanical cutters.
2. Before processing the workpiece, a suitable grinding wheel should be selected based on the material, hardness, precision, rough grinding, and other conditions of the workpiece.
3. When replacing the grinding wheel, follow the safety operating procedures of the grinding machine. It is necessary to carefully check whether the grain size and linear speed of the grinding wheel meet the requirements, whether there are no cracks on the surface, and whether the sound is clear. Careful inspection is necessary to ensure that the specifications of the grinding wheel meet the requirements, with no cracks, a clear and crisp sound, and undergo a static balance test. When installing a new grinding wheel, it should generally undergo a secondary balance to prevent vibration. After installation, it should be idle for 3-5 minutes and confirmed to be normal before use. During the trial run, the person should stand on the side of the grinding wheel.
4. When installing the grinding wheel, a balance test must be conducted. Before starting the machine, check whether each operating handle has been returned to the neutral position. Then, run the empty car for 10 minutes and pay attention to whether there is oil in each lubrication part. Run the machine for a few minutes to confirm that the machine condition is normal before starting work.
5. Before operation, it is necessary to wear tight protective clothing, fasten the cuffs, keep the hem of the shirt closed, and strictly prohibit wearing gloves. It is not allowed to wear, take off or change clothes next to the running machine tool, or wrap around the body to prevent machine injuries. A safety helmet must be worn, and braids should be placed inside the helmet. Skirts and slippers are not allowed.
6. When grinding, loading and unloading heavy workpieces, wooden boards and other protective devices should be placed first, and they must be firmly clamped during work. It is strictly prohibited to use hands to grind workpieces on the front and side of the grinding wheel. When grinding the surface, it is necessary to check whether the suction force of the disk is normal. The workpiece should be firmly sucked in. For workpieces with small contact surfaces, stop blocks and plates should be placed before and after, and the limit stop iron should be adjusted according to the grinding length of the workpiece. People are not allowed to stand in front, they should stand on the side of the grinding wheel.
7. When feeding, do not let the grinding wheel come into contact with the workpiece immediately. Leave a gap and feed slowly to prevent the grinding wheel from suddenly bursting and causing accidents. Use a center frame for slender workpieces to prevent them from bending and injuring people. When parking, the grinding wheel should be returned first before parking.
8. The grinding wheel and workpiece should be in smooth contact, gradually increasing the grinding amount, and sudden increase in feed rate is not allowed. When the grinding wheel is not removed from the workpiece, it must not stop running halfway. The loading and unloading of workpieces and the measurement accuracy should be stopped, and the grinding wheel should be returned to a safe position to prevent hand injury.
9. When using diamond drills to repair grinding wheels, a fixed bracket should be used. Wet grinding machines should be flushed with coolant, and dry grinding machines should have a vacuum cleaner turned on.
10. Dry ground workpieces should not suddenly switch to wet grinding to prevent the grinding wheel from shattering. When the coolant for wet grinding is interrupted, the grinding should be stopped immediately.
11. When a surface grinder grinds multiple pieces at once, the processed parts should be tightly padded to prevent the workpieces from flying out or the grinding wheel from bursting and injuring people.
12. When machining workpieces with two top pins for external grinding, attention should be paid to whether the top pins are in good condition. The workpiece processed with a chuck should be clamped tightly.
13. When grinding the inner hole with an internal grinder, use a plug gauge or instrument to measure. The grinding wheel should be returned to a safe position and wait for the wheel to stop before proceeding.
14. When grinding various cutting tools, splines, keyways, flat bodies, etc. with intermittent surface work, automatic feed cannot be used, and the feed rate should not be too large. When processing workpieces with splines, keyways, or eccentricities on the surface, automatic feeding should not be used, excessive cutting should not be applied, the cutting should be slow, and the clamps should be firm. When using the tip, the center hole and tip should be cleaned and lubricated with appropriate oil.
15. Universal grinding machines should pay attention to the pressure of the hydraulic system, which should not be lower than the specified value. When there is air in the oil cylinder, the worktable can be moved at both ends to eliminate the air and prevent accidents caused by hydraulic system failure. When starting hydraulic transmission, the feed rate must be appropriate to prevent collision between the grinding wheel and the workpiece, and the reversing block must be adjusted properly.
16. Grinding wheels are not allowed to grind soft workpieces such as copper, tin, lead, etc. When using diamond drills to grind grinding wheels, the cutting tools should be firmly installed, the distance between the tool fulcrum and the grinding wheel should be minimized as much as possible, and the feed rate should be slowly increased.
17. It is not a specialized end face grinding wheel and is not allowed to grind wider surfaces to prevent breakage and injury.
18. When parking after work, the coolant should be turned off first, and the grinding wheel should be allowed to run for 2-3 minutes for dehydration before parking. Then do a good job of maintenance, brush off iron filings and dust, lubricate and add oil, and cut off the power supply. Regularly change the coolant to prevent environmental pollution.
