Data display and zero offset of CNC end face cylindrical grinder.
1、 The data of the CNC end face cylindrical grinder shows:
If the "handwheel mode" is selected under the "JOG" mode, the system will require confirmation of the X-axis or Z-axis. If not confirmed, the tool holder will still move in the previous direction, which can easily cause the tool holder to move incorrectly and result in cutting situations.
2、 Zero offset of CNC end face cylindrical grinder:
During the operation of modern CNC systems, people often use a zero offset command from G54~G59 tape machines to set the position of the workpiece zero point in the machine coordinate system for CNC end face cylindrical grinders. When using this method, attention should be paid to whether tool compensation is used and which point is used as the reference point for setting the tool compensation value. If the displacement of the machine tool origin from the workpiece is used as the tool compensation value, then using the zero offset command will result in coordinate system positioning errors and pose a danger to the operation.
Note that after the operation is completed, the command should be used promptly to cancel the zero offset that can be set. Similarly, in the FANUC system, there exists a "workstation displacement double ball". The so-called "work displacement" refers to the movement of the workpiece coordinate system in the opposite direction, assuming that the numerical values of the program, tool compensation, and workpiece coordinate system remain unchanged. This method can be used for multi piece machining without moving the blank or rebuilding the coordinate system. When using "work displacement", attention should be paid to canceling its value after use, otherwise other operators may operate the machine tool without knowing it, which may result in incorrect positioning of the workpiece coordinate system, leading to cutting and accidents.
