Application of grinding wheel in mold grinding

Release time:2025-04-10     Visits:29

The difference between tool grinding and other types of grinding is that both rely on manual grinding machines for processing, so the skill level of the operator plays a crucial role. Among them, the selection of grinding wheel particle size, the degree of grinding wheel dressing judgment, and the control of manual feed rate are all judged based on experience.
Tool grinding is generally divided into three categories: rough grinding, fine grinding, and corner cleaning.
1. Rough grinding: Typically, 46 # grit grinding wheels are used to grind the cut workpiece to the required size, achieving the desired flatness and smoothness.
2. Precision grinding: Usually, 100 # or 120 # grinding wheels are used. In addition to precision grinding the flat surface, sometimes grooves need to be ground, and there are also high requirements for the shape retention of the grinding wheel.
3. Corner cleaning: Trim the 320 # grinding wheel to a very thin thickness, such as 0.02mm, then cut out the groove and perform trimming. The bottom diameter of the groove needs to be cleaned to R0.03mm.
Because in addition to the common 38A white corundum series, there are also 32A single crystal corundum series and SG ceramic corundum series for tool grinding wheels. Depending on the material, we will choose grinding wheels with different abrasives. Using a grinding wheel to grind materials often does not achieve good results.
1. Dry grinding and wet grinding.
2. Slot and corner cleaning.
3. Grinding system.
