Four clamping methods for grinding on a surface grinder
Four clamping methods for grinding on a surface grinder.
Common thin sheet parts such as gaskets, friction plates, templates, and thin plates are prone to clamping deformation during clamping and warping during grinding due to poor rigidity, difficult heat dissipation, and bending after heat treatment. Magnetic suction cups are usually used for grinding on surface grinders. After grinding is completed, the magnetic attraction is removed, and the thin sheet workpiece is restored to its original state, making it difficult to ensure machining accuracy. If the following clamping methods are used to ensure the positioning and clamping of thin sheet workpieces in a free state, and double end faces are used for grinding processing, good results can be achieved to meet the requirements of part processing accuracy.
1. Elastic gasket clamping method.
2. Strengthen the rigidity of thin sheet workpieces with temporary measures.
3. Mechanical clamping method.
4. Vacuum clamping method.
