What are the precautions during the CNC grinding process

Release time:2025-04-09     Visits:27

Firstly, the installation and dressing of CNC grinding wheels. Generally, flange installation is used for the installation of grinding wheels. During installation, the following points should be noted:
1. Before clamping, an audio inspection should be conducted. Lift the grinding wheel with a rope and lightly tap it. The sound should be crisp, without any tremolo or noise.
2. The diameters of the two flanges must be equal so that the grinding wheel is not subjected to bending stress that could cause breakage. The minimum diameter of the flange should not be less than 1/3 of the diameter of the grinding wheel, and should not be less than 2/3 without a protective cover.
3. Elastic materials such as rubber and felt must be placed between the grinding wheel and the flange to increase the contact surface and ensure even force distribution. After clamping and static balancing, the grinding wheel should be tested for 5 minutes at the highest speed before it can be officially used.
4. When manually adjusting the static balance of a CNC grinder grinding wheel, tools such as a balance frame, balance spindle and balance block, and a spirit level must be used.

The following points should be noted:
1. The balance frame should be placed horizontally, especially vertically.
2. Shake off the coolant from the grinding wheel.
3. The grinding wheel should be tightened, and the flange and balance block should be cleaned.
4. The taper hole in the grinding wheel flange should fit tightly with the balance spindle, and the spindle should not bend.
5. After the grinding wheel is balanced, the balance block should be tightened.
6. It is best to use a blade type balance frame, as it has a small contact surface with the spindle and a more sensitive response.
