Discuss the methods to solve the problem of warping during the grinding process of CNC cylindrical grinders.
CNC cylindrical grinding machines are widely used in machining applications, but warping may occur during the grinding process. To solve this problem, the following methods can be used:
1. When grinding the above-mentioned thin sheet workpieces on a CNC cylindrical grinder, an elastic clamping arrangement is selected to complete the positioning and clamping of the thin sheet workpieces in a free state. Place a layer of 0.5mm thick rubber between the workpiece and the magnetic worktable. When the workpiece is subjected to magnetic attraction, the rubber is compressed, the elastic deformation is reduced, and then a flat surface of the workpiece can be ground. Repeatedly grinding several times can achieve the required machining accuracy.
2. Use epoxy resin bonding agent to bond the thin sheet workpiece to a flat plate in a free state. Place the tablet and sheet together on the magnetic suction cup. After grinding the flat surface of one end of the thin sheet, remove the thin sheet workpiece from the flat plate, place the ground surface on the magnetic suction cup, and then grind the flat surface of the other end of the thin sheet workpiece. Due to the fluidity of epoxy resin before hardening, it can fill the empty space between thin sheet workpieces and flat plates. After the epoxy resin hardens, the workpiece and the flat plate are bonded together, forming a whole and increasing the rigidity of the workpiece. Under magnetic attraction, the thin sheet workpiece will not undergo clamping deformation, providing clear conditions for grinding a flat surface.
3. Using the flat jaw pliers in the accessories of the CNC cylindrical grinder, the thin sheet workpiece is held by a small flat jaw pliers on a magnetic worktable. Due to the height of the flat jaw pliers, the magnetic force on the jaws is small. Use the method of gradually reducing the feed rate to grind a flat surface of the thin sheet workpiece and then remove it. At this point, place the already ground surface on the magnetic worktable, and then grind the other surface of the thin sheet workpiece. Repeat the grinding several times until the flatness of the two surfaces reaches the required level.
4. Using atmospheric pressure to clamp thin sheet workpieces for grinding processing.
