CNC High Speed End-face Cylindrical Grinder

In the world of precision machining, the end face cylindrical grinder stands as a pivotal tool, essential for industries that demand high accuracy and efficiency. Whether you're involved in automotive manufacturing, aerospace engineering, or precision component production, understanding the capabilities and applications of these machines can significantly enhance your operational efficiency.

CNC end face cylindrical grinder:main purpose

The CNC end face cylindrical grinder is a grinding machine with a slanted grinding wheel frame and oblique cutting feed. The grinding wheel axis forms a 30 ° angle with the workpiece axis, mainly used for grinding the end face and outer circle of shaft parts with shoulder blades. It is suitable for use in large-scale production workshops. It can also be used as a general cylindrical grinder to grind cylindrical or conical rotating workpieces.

CNC end face cylindrical grinder:structure characteristics

1. The machine tool adopts FANVC Serie O-GCD, which has two CNC coordinate axes and two sets of servo motors to drive the feed of the grinding wheel holder (X-axis) and the dresser (W-axis), as well as the compensation of the grinding wheel after dressing feed. The control console is located in the front right of the machine tool, with a seat value display and operation keys on the panel. The grinding size, grinding cycle, and grinding conditions of the machining process are input into the memory, which can automatically perform cyclic grinding or manually adjust the operation.
2. There are two ways to control the size of workpieces: automatic grinding with measuring instruments and automatic grinding without measuring instruments. The automatic measuring device can be specially ordered and supplied according to user needs.
3. The linear speed of the grinding wheel is 45m/s. The grinding wheel spindle bearing adopts a long sleeve detachable dynamic and static pressure bearing.
4. The rear of the grinding wheel rack is equipped with a replica dresser. A formed grinding wheel that can automatically adjust the grinding end face and outer circular workpiece according to the template shape.
5. Before automatically grinding the end face and outer circle, the workpiece can automatically make a slight axial movement, and there is a tool setting device to ensure that each end face is in the same position.
6. In addition to the cutting mill, the machine tool also has longitudinal grinding, and the worktable uses hydraulic cylinders for reciprocating motion or can be manually driven.
7. The workpiece, grinding wheel, oil pump, and cooling pump are all driven by separate motors, and the hydraulic components are installed in independent oil tanks. Each feed transmission part can be either motorized or manually operated, and the electrical and hydraulic systems have stable and reliable performance. The machine tool is easy to use and maintain.

Types of End Face Cylindrical Grinders

End face cylindrical grinders come in various configurations, each tailored to specific industrial needs. Here are some common types:

1. NC Series

The NC series grinders are designed for applications requiring a higher degree of automation and precision. These machines are ideal for industries like aerospace and automotive, where high accuracy is paramount.

2. CNC Plunge Grinding Series

These grinders are equipped with angular wheel heads, making them suitable for plunge grinding applications. They are commonly used in industries that require large or complex workpieces to be processed in a single setup.

3. CNC Heavy-Duty Series

As the name suggests, these grinders are built to handle heavy-duty applications. They are perfect for grinding large components used in industries such as shipbuilding and heavy machinery manufacturing.

4. CNC Cam Grinding Series

These grinders are specifically designed for grinding camshafts and other components with complex geometries. They offer high precision and are equipped with specialized CNC systems for intricate grinding tasks.
